HD video sharing?
I remember reading the other day that video sharing site Vimeo were now allowing their users to upload and view videos in high definition. Was checking it out this morning and the quality is pretty amazing in comparison to youTube or equivalent sites. I can only imagine their server bills must be huge?! Check out an example here

Really like these LED jackets made by Moritz Waldemeyer for the band OK Go. Although to appreciate them fully you have to see the video of them in action!

No commentsWe Are All Rwandans
A friend of mine has recently completed a short film about an incident which happened shortly after the Rwandan genocides involving a group of school children. It’s an amazing film, even more so because it was made with virtually no budget and using real Rwandan school kids as actors.
Anyway last night was the premiere at the Bafta film academy in Piccadilly, I was fortunate to have a part in the project by creating the opening titles, setting the scene for the rest of the story - it was very very cool seeing something you made in After Effects on your laptop projected onto a massive cinema screen!
I think the next step for the film is to be sent around several film festivals, if you get a chance to see it I would definately recommend it - you can find more info on the website and production blog.

This is quite interesting, choose two colours, select if they are main colours or highlights, then the site will search out other sites that have been designed to that palette. Link

Threadless Christmas Sale
Threadless, the undisputedly best place to buy t-shirts is currently having a sale on at the moment with tees seeling for $10, unfortunately it’s always the case that the one you really want is sold out!

mmmm … bluegrass
If I’m honest I’ll admit that I do tend to be quite partial to a good fad every now and again, the latest one involves learning to play a banjo. Here’s a video I recorded on Saturday morning with my housemate Rich (please bear in mind I’ve only been learning for two weeks!). Watch video

Have been recently trying to update and redesign my website, the bad news was that in my tussles with trying to figure out Wordpress I ended up deleting my database and all previous blog posts!
The good news is that it’s now up and although there’s still quite a few more pages to do it seems to be getting there …

ooops
am currently battling with wordpress to update everything, please ignore this site for a week or so …
